Sandro Díez-Amigo is a Risk Management Officer at the Economics Unit of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance arm of the World Bank Group

He holds a Ph.D. and a S.M. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a Licenciatura in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and prior to joining the World Bank Group he was a Young Professional at the Inter-American Development Bank.

His previous experience includes working as a doctoral researcher at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), as an advisor to the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and as a management consultant for Oliver Wyman's financial services practice.
