Sandro Díez-Amigo is a Senior Evaluation Officer at the Economics and Sustainability Department of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance arm of the World Bank Group

He holds a PhD and a master's degree in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and bachelor and master's degrees in economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and his areas of expertise include research, evaluation, policy, strategy, economics, finance and risk.

Prior to joining the World Bank Group he was a Young Professional at the Inter-American Development Bank, and his previous experience includes working as a doctoral researcher at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), as an advisor to the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and as a management consultant for Oliver Wyman's financial services practice.
